KILLINGS: 17 times Buhari promised to bring perpetrators to book, secure lives of Nigerians…without results

November 27, 2018 By Ebere Ndukwu Over time, killings of Nigerians in different parts of the country seem to have become a recurring decimal, with government always mouthing promises of ending the killings and bringing perpetrators to book. On at least 17 occasions, President Muhammadu Buhari, while reacting to such killings, had promised that killers of Nigerians, be it by the Boko Haram terrorist group, suspected herdsmen, during ethnic clashes, or other criminal elements would not escape the full wrath of the law for their actions. ON NOVEMBER 26, 20183:28  NEWS COMMENTS By Emma Amaize ASABA-  FORMER Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, says it is disgusting that some Nigerians were so gullible to believe that the President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB, in Aso Villa, Abuja, is different from the authentic PMB.  Uduaghan Uduaghan, who is All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial candidate in Delta South, in a post on Facebook, said, “I find it disappointing when people try to show that the PMB in the villa (Aso Villa) is different from the real PMB by showing pictures of PMB being let handed, and not right handed.” He asserted, “In this day and age, computer can come out with anything. There are applications that turn images the opposite way,” adding it was easy to manipulate the computer to show the same person as being right hand and left handed at the same time. ASUU Insists Strike Must Continue

This is in spite of appeals made to the union by prominent Nigerians for the strike to be called off in the interest of Nigerian students. A statement by the Secretary of the union, Dr. Gbolahan Folarin, made available to all members, a copy of which was given to THISDAY yesterday,  advised all its members to ignore any directive to the contrary.
